TO use it, it needs to be installed on the host. Sadly it is not (offically) supported for Debian Buster, so some trickery is needed. Installation ------------ I used these tips: https://www.mail-archive.com/linux-poweredge@dell.com/msg05172.html To follow these instructions: https://linux.dell.com/repo/community/openmanage/ (They are for ubuntu, but work fine) .. code-block:: console [root@pve: ~] $ gpg --keyserver pool.sks-keyservers.net --recv-key 1285491434D8786F [root@pve: ~] $ gpg -a --export 1285491434D8786F | apt-key add - [root@pve: ~] $ echo 'deb http://linux.dell.com/repo/community/openmanage/940/bionic bionic main' > /etc/apt/sources.list.d/linux.dell.com.sources.list [root@pve: ~] $ apt install libcurl3 srvadmin-base srvadmin-cm srvadmin-deng srvadmin-deng-snmp srvadmin-omacore srvadmin-omacs srvadmin-omcommon srvadmin-omilcore srvadmin-ominst srvadmin-server-cli srvadmin-smcommon srvadmin-xmlsup [root@pve: ~] $ systemctl start dsm_sa_datamgrd && systemctl start dsm_sa_eventmgrd [root@pve: ~] $ ln -s /opt/dell/srvadmin/bin/omreport /usr/local/sbin/omreport [root@pve: ~] $ omreport -? # Check installation Power Management ---------------- Read out energy consumption since last reset: .. code-block:: console omreport chassis pwrmonitoring Reset energy consumption reading: .. code-block:: console omconfig chassis pwrmonitoring config=resetreading type=energy
